I'm totally in love...

...with this recitation. I've heard Mishary before - who hasn't - and I've even heard this recitation of Surah Qaaf before but I've recently discovered it and can't stop listening to it.

i spent the last ramadhan in the mosque of salah bukhatir in the UAE.
Especially the last ten nights.

Driving to the mosque at about 1:00 AM, stopping for a tea and returning just before iftaar.
Standing there along with thousands of muslimeen listening to salah bukhatir in the blessed nights of ramadhan. Tears flowing down the eyes of men and women in total humility to one Allah. Listening to the recitation of Quran and when he breaks down and just keeps quite for a few seconds.

And when praying to Allah to ease the pains of muslimeen of palestine, iraq, afghanistan, kashmir and chechniyah it felt as if my heart is not with me. Its just not the body its the soul that bows down to Allah. A scholar once said that what they say about music being the food for the soul is correct. But they've just got it wrong when they think that the music is in these instruments and shaking their bodies. The music is in Quran, when it speaks to the soul. The body of the momin remains still in complete humility, but its the soul that then enjoys the words of Allah and in its own way dances to the words of its creator.
I'm so gonna miss this feeling, as i wont be in uae this ramadhan, Qadr Allah.
umm Zaidah mentioned Salah bukhatir, so it just came back. Ramadhan is truly the blessed month. I already miss ramadhan.

May Allah give everyone the best of Ramadhan this year. Aameen!

Taken from the Tarawih prayers. Listen to surah 26 (Ash-Shuara). After 14 minutes he reaches a point where he starts crying.
Just read the Quran/translation and it might touch your heart too
